October 2011
Craig Mongeau - October 2011
And here we are again — leaf season, weather report watching and worrying, increasingly chilly nights and the easiest and most fun part of autumn, the New York State Highway & Public Works Expo.
To be held Wednesday, Oct. 19, inside the Americraft Center of Progress Building at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, the annual expo will feature the latest and greatest in equipment and services, as well as a few extras along the way.
An incredibly high number of exhibitors are slated to attend the show, all offering everything you could possibly need to help you and your crews get the job done.
As is customary, there also will be plenty of food and door prizes. For lunch, a limited supply of free lunch tickets will be available from the following exhibitors: Beam Mack Sales & Service, Chemung Supply, Stadium International Trucks, Tracey Road Equipment, Trux Outfitter, Vantage Equipment LLC, Viking-Cives and Trius. Lunch will be served from noon to 2 p.m., and if you do not have a free lunch ticket, you can purchase a ticket for $10 at the show.
Door prizes winners will be drawn throughout the show. A slew of caps, shirts, gift cards, jackets, electronics and more will be given away. Two grand prizes will be awarded toward the expo’s conclusion: One lucky winner will get two grandstand tickets to the NASCAR Watkins Glen race in August 2012, which will include two pit road passes. And another lucky winner will get a pair of tickets to see the Buffalo Bills take on the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Dec. 18, this year.
All of us at Superintendent’s Profile look forward to seeing you at the expo. P
